Following trips to Beijing, Xi'an on September 13th, 2009, TEDxPedition came to Chengdu.

Two days before the conference, Suchen TEDxPedition visited the NGO Disaster Preparedness Center in Hanwang, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and Dujiangyan water conservancy project.

At 2:30 pm Sep.13 the TEDxPedition Chengdu Conference officially began in Chengdu Kempinski Hotel. Speakers came including Sheryi Liao, the founder of Global Village of Beijing, environmental consultant of 2008 Olympic Games; Xiaofei Wang, president the West sur-branch  of Agricultural Bank of China, chairman of Sichuan Yinqiao Investment Management Limited; Tony Yet, one of the founder of TEDtoChina.com. Leon Chen, founder and chairman of Suchen;      

Simon Fisher, a graduate from Bath who has been researching the study of corporate social responsibility. They gave multi-angle speeches on green industry, sustainable development and youth entrepreneurship, and proposed and explained lots of new ideas as of creative industries, “world changing” and so on. During the conference, participants conducted a number of interactions with speakers, particularly raised the issues on the topic, and also elaborated their own ideas; after the conference, participants extensively exchanged and discussed their ideas and opinions, especially on green industry and the understanding of sustainable development.
