In recent times, we have seen the rapid wealth creation that has sustained itself in miracle fashion, enabling China to address the UN’s Millennium goal on poverty alleviation single-handedly and to recently host the Olympic Games in Beijing— an impressive showcase of 30 years’ reform. However, new social and environmental problems have emerged as a result of such fast development.

Sustainability is emerging as one of the most crucial issues on the world stage. China is adopting the economic development policy based on the concept of ‘harmonious society’, where numerous investment funds have been set off to capture the value of business sustainability. Under the backdrop of this global and far-reaching trend, Suchen is delighted to launch the TEDxPedition.

This bold mission will enable the search and research of the key mythologies behind the best sustainable initiatives large and small throughout China. TEDxPeditioners will engage in TEDx conferences in Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu and Hong Kong, presenting findings, discussing TED talks and local ideas/initiatives, spreading inspiration, and acquiring the understanding needed to obtain solutions to ensure win-win results for businesses, communities, and our environment.
